On behalf of the officers and membership of The Raleigh Coin Club welcome to our organization. The fact that you are visiting our club webpage shows you share our interest in the science of numismatics. Numismatics, like The Raleigh Coin Club, includes collectors of coins, paper money, script, tokens, medals, and bullion items just to name a few. The Raleigh Coin Club has a very diverse membership ranging from the beginner to recognized experts in their specialty. Collecting interests also run a wide range from current US issues, commemoratives, obsolete series, Latin American, Philippine, US currency, Confederate currency, Charlotte Gold, tokens and medals to errors and topical collections. In short there is something for everybody at The Raleigh Coin Club. |

We meet the second Thursday of every month from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the Pullen Community Center on Ashe Avenue just off Western Boulevard, in west Raleigh just east of the NCSU campus. Each meeting is highlighted by an educational presentation given by one of the members, guest speakers, or sometimes an ANA slide show. We have Show-N-Tell, refreshments, and time to socialize and talk coins. You are welcome to attend as many meetings as you would like as our guests; however, we do encourage you to join. |

We feel our annual dues are the best deal in the hobby. Membership entitles you to many benefits such as the monthly newsletter, access to our club library, participation on our bid board, and a chance at our monthly door prize. We try to maintain a friendly, somewhat informal atmosphere were we can relax and enjoy our common interests. We are a non-profit organization whose by-laws dictate that we work at advancing the science of numismatics. With this in mind we are keenly interested in doing activities that promote the hobby in the community. We sponsor an annual Coin Show, usually the last weekend in June, where the membership is encouraged to put together educational exhibits, meet the collecting community that attends, and help answer collector’s questions at our club table. We participate in the annual PAGE (Parentally Aided Gifted Education) Program at St Mary’s College to help develop our young collectors. We have a real need to develop our Young Numismatist program and this is one of the focal points of this year’s officers. We are developing plans to make The Raleigh Coin Club a force in the hobby. If you want to get more involved in the hobby we again encourage you to join us.We look forward to personally welcoming you as a member of The Raleigh Coin Club at our next meeting! |
