Over the years as the Raleigh Coin Club promoted its annual show and sponsored or supported other numismatic events it created objects that in their own right became collectibles. Among these are individual items, a series of souvenir cards and a continuing series of wooden nickels. All are illustrated below.

2022 Raleigh Coin Club - Raleigh Money Expo^TM Issue Quantity Produced: 1500 Look for these at coin shows around the Carolinas leading up to our show! After a two-year hiatus imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic our wooden nickel series of alternate designs for our state's 2001 Statehood Quarter continues! This year’s design is taken from one of the three finalists and feature the Cape Hatteras lighthouse at night with a crescent moon and twelve stars. The twelve stars signifies North Carolina's place as the twelfth state to ratify the constitution and achieve statehood. 2019 Raleigh Coin Club - Raleigh Money Expo^TM Issue Quantity Produced: 1500 Look for these at coin shows around the Carolinas leading up to our show! This year the series of alternate designs for our state's 2001 Statehood Quarter continues! The design featured was done by a Raleigh area resident and follows a theme seen on many other Statehood Quarters and is especially reminiscent of the South Carolina issue. The design features an outline map of the state, a star showing the capital Raleigh's position, the state bird the cardinal and the state flower the flowering dogwood. While clearly symbolic of North Carolina it was perhaps becoming too common of a concept even by the third year, twelfth overall issue of the Statehood Quarter program. 2018 Raleigh Coin Club - Raleigh Money Expo^TM Issue Quantity Produced: 1500 This year's wooden nickel was based on the design for the North Carolina Statehood Quarter submitted by Daniel Carr, of Moonlight Mint. Mr. Carr's design while similar to the final design of our Statehood Quarter was not chosen in favor of the historic Smithsonian photograph. However, his designs for the New York and Rhode Island Statehood Quarters were selected. The Raleigh Coin Club is thrilled that Mr. Carr has granted us permission to use his design on our 2018 wooden nickel.
